Maybe I Don't Really Like My Job

The boss asked everyone in the group to come up with the Top Three Objectives for our group as a part of the ISO project. The more I thought about it the madder I got. Here's what I came up with. Just don't tell him. TOP THREE OBJECTIVES 1. Fuck if I know. I work tickets that's what I do. 2. Hell I can't even tell you what is a group responsibility and what is stuff that comes to us because we have Denis and George. 3. Really, I felt like I made more of a difference in the IRSC. At least there I was helping out in a meaningful way. p.s. I hate this fucking job. What a creative sink hole. Shit you spend a quarter of your life at work, you should really do something you enjoy and derive some pleasure out of. That ain't the case here. You know what I think of internet support, I think it sucks. God damn it, firing me again would be the best thing that ever happened to me. There has got to be more to life than this. TOP THREE OBJECTIVES REVISIED 1. Get a paycheck. 2. C

Kirra's Birthday and stuff

Happy 16th, sweet sixteen, to Kirra. Today she old enough to..., well, she's sixteen. The NaNoWriMo progress is way off. I'm going to have to write close to 3000 words every day till the end of the month if I'm going to get to the 50,000 word goal. Currently I'm at 9,496 words. Which is about a third of what I should have by this time. Oh well, I've got all of next week off to work on it. Halo 2 is great fun and the xbox in general is the reason that I'm not keeping up with the writing. Sure I've been sick, had the gout, and lifes little surprises keep popping up. But mainly it's the xbox.

NaNoWriMo 2004

November is National Novel Writing Month and I'm taking the time to reinvigorate my writing. The year started with good intentions and regular word counts. But somewhere around March it all fell apart. This years project is the same as 2002's, Thane. I've spent alot of time since "finishing" A Difficult Dinner thinking about that story. What I realized is that my focus was on the wrong parts of the story and that the end of the 50,000 words I wrote needs to be redone because it's really the beginning of the real story. So rather than tweaking my existing words I'm going to get 2,000 words a day out to tell the rest of that story. When it's all done I'll tie it together with what I already have and do a good second draft. I'm feeling good about this and I'm confident that I'm really going to finish this time around.
